Jack William Landon, 86, passed away on September 17, 2020. He was the husband of Marlene Landon, sharing 60 years of marriage together. Jack was born August 15, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Bill and Emma Landon. He graduated from Thomas M. Cooley High School in 1953 and continued his education at Hillsdale College, where he belonged to the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He graduated from the University of Detroit with his Business and Administration Degree in 1969. Jack worked for Chrysler Corporation for more than 35 years, as a Purchasing manager, retiring in 1991. Jack and Marlene spent their younger days in Shelby Township, Michigan, where they raised their three children; Clark, Leslie, and Glenn. Upon retirement, they purchased a home in northern Michigan on Torch Lake where he was able to enjoy his passions for the water and boating. During the winter seasons, he and Marlene would travel to Naples, Florida where they enjoyed the warmer weather. Jack was a family man and loved doting on his grandchildren. He loved to read. aughter for his family and many friends. Everyone who knew Jack has their own special memory of him and stories they could share. Jack is the beloved father to Leslie Rindal, Glenn Landon, and the late Clark Landon. He is also the cherished grandfather to Jeremy and Nathan Rindal. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 2pm. It will be held at 4196 Summer Place, Shelby Township, MI 48316.
