Mabel Dolan

Mabel Muriel Atkins Dolan, daughter of Everett L. & Nora A. Rehbehn Atkins, was born December 3, 1911, on a farm in rural Tipton, Iowa. Mabel was united in marriage to Allen Dolan on March 17, 1951, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Mabel was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the VFW Post 2537 in Tipton. Mabel enjoyed her garden, cooking and did a lot of canning. She was an avid card player and liked to crochet rugs. Mabel had been a member of the Springdale United Methosist Church since 1924. Mabel is survived by her sisters, Erdine Kruse of West Liberty, Iowa and Stella Gardner of Tipton, Iowa; a step-son, Dennis Dolan of Texas; and a step-daughter, Susan Dolan of Iowa City, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett & Nora Atkins; her husband, Allen Dolan in 1985; a sister Marcella Kruse; and her brother, Darrell Atkins.[more]
