Bart R. Avery, 54, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Bart was born on December 18, 1965, to the late William and Betty Avery. Growing up, he attended Warren Central High School in Indianapolis and Hastings High School in Michigan. He served in the US Army and then attended ITT Tech to earn his certification to become an electronic repair technician. Bart enjoyed mushroom hunting, camping, and cycling. In his younger years, he sang in a small band. He loved to garden and grow his own food, and enjoyed cooking healthy, natural meals. He liked to work on electronics, mostly restoring old receivers.
Bart is survived by his children, Robert Jones, Quantico, VA, and Faith Kuikstra, IA; grandchildren, Putri and Bintang Jones; and siblings, William Avery, Jr., Berry Avery, Barbara Avery-Caris, all of Hastings, MI, and Robert Avery, Wickliffe, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty, as well as his step-mother, Bonnie (Booher) Avery.
