Degree in Criminology from Auburn University and attended the Auburn University Master's Program, where she was selected as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. It was at Auburn University where Laura developed an interest in Auburn Football, spending countless hours mentoring Auburn athletes in course study. She would frequently greet visitors with a passionate "War Eagle". Laura had an insatiable appetite for learning and sharing her knowledge with others. An avid reader and researcher, she had gift for writing that conveyed wonderful facts, with a blend of humor. There was no subject that Laura did not find fascinating. She also found joy in dance and ballet classes, and hiking her favorite trails. Settling in Marietta, Georgia, she worked as a Victim Advocate for the Cobb County District Attorney's Office. She jointly researched and created a Victims Memorial Display, highlighting major homicide crimes that were solved by the Cobb County's District Attorney Office. Laura became a credentialed investigator for the Department of Defense, where she conducted investigations throughout the United States. Laura was a humble servant of the Lord and a member of the Transfiguration Catholic Church of Marietta, Georgia. She shared her joy of knowing Jesus with family and friends. Laura had a loving smile and blue eyes that would warm a room and she always extended her hand to those in need. She loved to cook and bake for her friends. Most of all Laura loved everyone, but especially her family. Often, she would re-arrange her travel schedule so she could be with those who loved her the most. Her excitement and quick wit were the highlight of many family events. Laura is now with her heavenly father and her dearest loved ones. Laura is preceded in death by her grandparents; Lucy Gregory, Panama City, Florida and Mary Phillabaum, Columbus Georgia. Survivors include her parents, William (Bill) Edward and Kathleen Sena (Phillabaum) Gregory, Cumming, Georgia; Brothers Michael Paul Gregory, Cumming, Georgia; Steven William Gregory, Tampa, Florida; Sister-in-Law Mindy Gregory; her beloved nieces Kristen and Hayley Gregory, Cumming, Georgia; Grandfathers Jack Otto Phillabaum,, Columbus Georgia and Francis (Frank) Charles Gregory, and wife Gladys Gregory, Panama City, Florida. Aunt's: Linda & Patricia Gregory; Uncle Billy Gregory, Teri (Phillabaum) and Tom Beard; Jeannette (Phillabaum) and John Lougee; Christine (Phillabum) and Pat Braski; Diane (Phillabaum) and John Land; Uncle Steven Phillabaum and numerous beloved cousins.
