William "Bill" Jack Blackwell was born August 14, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jack Ferril and Marjory June (Officer) Blackwell. The family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1962. Bill grew up in north Phoenix. He began his life-long career as an airplane mechanic in the Air Force and was still working in the field up until recently.
Bill was known for his sense of humor and a hearty laugh. He shined as a dad and grandpa.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Trish Ponsler; his ex-wife Deborah Pulley, son Carey-Jack, daughter-in-law Michele, and granddaughter Lily Blackwell; son Andrew, daughter-in-law Vesta, and grandson Oryan Blackwell, brother Rex Blackwell; sister Candy Spangler; sister Ginger Wolfe; and father Jack Blackwell. He is preceded by his mother, Marjory June (Officer) Blackwell and his beloved uncle Jack Stender.
Celebration of life will be held at Palmcroft, 15825 N 35th Ave. in Phoenix on November 14 at 10:00am.
