ticipated in Gun Club, and served as Deacon for his church family at New Beginning Christian Church in Ocala, FL. Throughout his entire life he loved getting together with friends, and family for quiet conversations, parties and sporting events (Go Cubbies and Huskers!). William and Robyn renewed their vows on December 18th, 2019 in presence of family, friends, and county, and it was a joyful affirmation of their years of marriage and commitment to each other. Bill was a loving and involved grandfather to his four grandchildren, and they experienced the care, time and fun that he brought into his relationships with them. He was an incomparable Papa, Ya ya, and Grandpa Berger. William made sure that they each knew they were the joys of his life and the apples of his eye. William lived a life that exemplified his principles and character, and in doing so left a legacy for all that knew him of love, acceptance, integrity, hard work and incomparable humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lola Johnson and Judith Smith. William is survived by two daughters, Kristi Berger, Rachelle Sansing and sisters Bonnie Ducommun, Opal Berger, Debra Stortvedt and brother, Ronald Berger, grandchildren Henry Sansing, Mona Rae, Jack Sansing, Sudhakar Naravulu, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.. A service will be held at 1:00 in Ocala on November 14, 2020. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts of Ocala, Ocala, Florida.
