inda volunteered so much at school she was offered a job as a teacher's aide in the Special Education Department. This was her true calling. She worked at St. Elmo, Williams, and Oak Springs Elementary schools and finished her career at Bowie High School. She made a difference in the lives of so many students and kept in contact with several of them after she retired. Linda was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church. Linda not only knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior; she lived out her faith by reflecting the love and grace of God that she experienced. She always had a smile, never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, William Fairman, Linda and Don Burnham, brothers William Fairman and Robert Fairman and her infant son. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Milton Ihlo, daughter Kim Wilhelm and husband Kris of Rockne, Texas and grandson Max Wilhelm and step grandchildren Josh and Sydney Wilhelm, daughter Pam Herber and husband Mark of Pflugerville and granddaughters Katy and Holly Herber, sister in laws Eleanor Fairman and Anita Fairman. Pallbearers are Kris Wilhelm, Mark Herber, Max Wilhelm, Don Fairman, Wayne Fairman and Tim Zezula. Honorary pallbearers are Felix Alexander, Katy Herber and Holly Herber. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Campbell Unit of Buckner Villas who took such good care of her this past year. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 8, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Christ Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas, with visitation at 1:00 pm in the fellowship hall. The Rev. John Stennfeld will officiate. Due to Covid-19, services will be private for family members and church members. Burial will be at Forest Oaks Memorial Park in South Austin on December 9 at 10:00 am.
