Patricia Anne Caudle Wood

Mrs. Patricia Anne Caudle Wood, 75, of Salisbury, left us to be with her Heavenly Father Wednesday, December 8, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Patricia was born October 21, 1945, in the Farmington Community of Davie County to John Henry and Rose Ella Taylor Caudle. She was a member of Farmington United Methodist Church, and had worked at Ingersoll-Rand before giving up a career in industry to become a full-time mother and homemaker. Patricia attended Farmington School and graduated from Davie High School. Afterwards, she attended Business college and obtained a degree in Business. As a child, Patricia grew up in a close community with many young people who were fond of getting together at the Caudle home on Saturday nights for an evening of fun and laughter. In addition to her friends, family times were important to Patricia. She especially looked forward to family vacations to the Outer Banks, where she spent hours combing the beach for sea shells and other natural treasures. thers. Patricia was especially close to her siblings Linda and Robert. As youngsters, they played together in the sandbox and roller skated in the basement of the family house in Farmington. Even if they fussed, it wasn't long before they made up and were off on another adventure. All who knew her agree Patricia was a selfless person, always putting the needs of others before her own. She will be sorely missed. In addition to her parents of Farmington, she is survived by her husband, Taft Master Wood; children, Melissa Wood Palmer (Michael) of Woodleaf, and John Wood (Tammy) of Salisbury; siblings, Linda Caudle Smeltzer (Jim) of Charlotte and Robert Caudle (Kay) of Farmington; and grandchildren, William Cody Wood, Blake Allen Oliphant, Emily Rose Wood, Lily Grace Palmer, and Jillian Nicole Wood. A graveside service will be conducted, Saturday, December 12, at 2 p.m., at Farmington Community Cemetery with Rev. Dana Fruits officiating. At the request of the family, please be mindful of social distancing and wear face covering. The family invites friends to come by Lambert Funeral Home, Friday, December 11, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., to pay their respects. Due to COVID-19, there will not be a formal receiving line.
