Michael Miller

Michael Joseph Miller passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home in Johnston, Iowa. Mike was born on May 6, 1956 in Creston, Iowa to Mary Ann (Doige) and F. Gerald Miller. He was the oldest of nine children. A lifelong Cyclone fan, he graduated from Iowa State University in 1978. He married Emily (Bjorn) in 1981 and they built a life for themselves and their four children that took them to Afton, Clarence, Creston, Indianola, and Greenfield, Iowa. They ran the Tiger Drive In in Greenfield for more than a decade, and he retired from Pioneer/Corteva in Johnston last year. Mike loved family gatherings, and you would always find him at the bottom of a huge "dogpile" of kids, wrestling or tickling as many at once as possible. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Emily, and his four children: Sarah (Scott) Anderson, Andy (Jessica) Eagan, Joseph (Maricela) Miller, and Adrienne Miller. He will be missed by his 15 grandchildren, two sisters, six brothers, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
