Ralph Ellis Olsen
Ralph Ellis Olsen, 64, passed away in his home in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. He was born on August 30, 1956 in Spanish Fork, Utah, the fifth son of Allan Burns Olsen and Elva Jean Jones. During his childhood, he lived in areas of Utah, Wyoming, and Arizona. He graduated Payson High School in Santaquin, Utah in 1974. He married Marci Lynn Nalder in the Salt Lake Temple on June 26, 1982. As a young man, he worked as an automobile mechanic and pipefitter. He cofounded a Savings and Loan Institution in Utah and and was recognized for outstanding membership sales. Most recently he worked as a Fire Sprinkler System Designer for Fire Protection Engineering Services. Ralph was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a deep love for Jesus Christ and His gospel. He showed this love continually over many years through countless acts of service and kindness, both large and small, to nearly all with whom he came in touch. He readily and quickly rendered selfless service to others, seemingly without any thought of inconvenience or difficulty to himself. oon considered him a dear friend. His life was greatly enriched by these tender relationships, particularly in the Deer Valley Ward where he attended church, his work at Fire Protection Engineering Services, and at Madison Meadows Community where he lived during his final years. He is survived by his son, Stephen, daughter-in-law Glorianne, and his four grandchildren, David, Daniel, Glorianne, and James. There will be a brief outdoor graveside service to which family and friends are welcome at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary at 9:00 AM on Thursday, December 31, 2020.
