David Brown Westenhaver May 27, 1943 - December 26, 2020 David is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marilyn (Peterson) and children: Greg (Jan) Akers, Littleton, CO, Sean (Maria) Akers, Omaha, NE, Janna (Jon) Knickerbocker, Memphis, TN, Christopher Westenhaver, Tullahoma, TN, and 5 grandchildren: Camille, Lauren and Maddie Akers, and Katherine Stuart and Daniel Knickerbocker, plus nieces & nephews and dear friend, Sister Jeanne Ward. Dave was born in Pensacola, FL but grew up in Auburn, AL where he graduated from Auburn University with a degree in physics. Dave worked for EG&G in various locations around the U.S. including Area 51. In 1980 he joined Scientific Atlanta, then in 1990 he founded Westenhaver Wizard Works, Inc. where he consulted with various industries, universities, NASA and government entities until his retirement in 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert J. and Maryline (Cauthen) Westenhaver, brothers Ed and Joe and nephew James. Due to Covid, no services are planned.
