Josephine Morse MUSCATINE - Josephine J. Morse, 82, died with family members present on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at Crescent Nursing amp; Rehabilitation Center. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 417 Green St. The Rev. John P. Gallagher will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bob Jurevitz, Guy James Dierikx, Pete Hoehn, Greg Gierlus, Dave Gierlus and Ron Ford. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Morse was born on March 17, 1917, in Muscatine, the daughter of Julius and Margaret Jurevitz. She married Harry T. Morse on June 4, 1938 in Muscatine. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed raising flowers, cooking and babysitting for her nieces and nephews. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Christine Morse of Olympia, Washington; a brother, James Jurevitz of Hillsdale, Ill., a sister, Helen Gorham of Illinois City, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
