John Lang

John Charles Lang was born October 1, 1937 to Francis Alvin & Doris Elizabeth Wineke Lang in Tipton, Iowa. He graduated from Tipton High School in 1955. From 1955-1960, John served in the U.S. Navy. On November 30, 1957, John was united in marriage to Carolyn Jean Luedeman in Nashua, Iowa. John was employed as the Transportation Coordinator of Tipton Community Schools. He was a member of the Cedar County Historical Society. John is loved and survived by his wife, Carolyn Lang of Tipton, Iowa; his mother, Doris Lang of Tipton, Iowa; a son, Jim Lang & wife, Kim of Nichols, Iowa; a sister, Karen Price & husband, Doug of Iowa City, Iowa; his brothers, Robert W. Lang of San Jose, California and Larry Lang & wife, Karen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, Travis & Cody Lang, Matt Strausser, Josh Lang, and Cody & Lexi Martin; and a great-grandchild, Zayne Lang. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Lang in 1986; a son, Timothy Lang on May 30, 2006; and father-in-law, Carl H. Luedeman in 2002. Memorial may be made to Iowa Wildlife Forever.[more]
