Leasa Byard May 21, 1958 - January 14, 2021 Leasa Ann Byard, 62, of Ocala, FL passed away on January 14, 2021. She was born May 21, 1958 in Parkersburg, WV to Hayward and Mary Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Tom Byard, and her sons, Clinton McClure and JD Byard. She is also survived by her grandson, Hayden Byard, mother, Mary Thomas, and her siblings along with their spouses: Archie Thomas, Denver "Whitey" Thomas (Helena), Carla Mason (Rex), David Thomas, Steven Thomas (Vicki), Hayward Thomas, II. (Laurie) and Janie Thomas. Surviving in-laws include: James and Wanda Byard, Tim and Darlene Byard, along with Buck and Mia Byard. She is preceded by her father, Hayward Thomas, and brother, Terry Thomas. Leasa has been an Ocala resident since 1984 and employed as a Legal Assistant for the past 23 years. Her hobbies included spending time with her family and friends, fundraising with the Bunco Babes of Ocala and crafting. She is best known for her having a big heart and caring for others. The most important thing to her was love. A memorial service will be held for Leasa on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Roberts of Ocala Downtown Chapel. [more]
