Matthew Summitt MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Thomas (Matthew) Summitt, 20, of 1012 Lombard Street, died Thursday, December 28, 2000, in Louisa County. Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2000, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Tom Parrott of the New Hope United Methodist Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Toby Starkweather, Doug Starkweather, Matt Reimers, Ted Hillard, Andy White, Cory Wagner, Aaron Starkweather, Brian Bermel and Brandon Garrett. Honorary Bearers will be Andy and Jason Summitt. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2000, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Muscatine County Humane Society or the Crohns Disease Foundation. Matt was born on March 8, 1980, in Iowa City, the son of Thomas C. and Julie L. Curry Summitt. He loved to hunt and fish and he loved his brothers very much. He also loved his motorcycle. Matt was a paramedic firefighter with the Muscatine Fire Department.
