Sherry L. Wenthe DURANT, Iowa -Sherry L. Wenthe, 32, Durant, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. The Rev. David Lawson will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by vocalist Jason Ridley. Pallbearers are Michael Hardin, Shane Smith, Jerry Erbst, Matt Smith, Dean McCleary and Brian Enyeart. Honorary pallbearers are Adam Olson, Chad Wilson, Sharon Braet and Kathy Kappeler. Burial will be at Durant Cemetery, Durant. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Miss Wenthe was born Oct. 27, 1969, in Maquoketa, the daughter of James and Karen Carr Wenthe. She was a bartender at the Dew Drop Tavern and Idle Hour Lanes, both in Durant. She enjoyed NASCAR and was a Chicago Bears fan. Survivors include her son, Gage of Durant; her parents of Walcott; three sisters, Carla McCleary and husband Dean and Julie Erbst and husband Jerry, all of Buffalo and Deanna Wenthe of Durant; and a brother, Timothy Wenthe and wife Donna of Durant.
