Dorothy Plank COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa - Dorothy Plank, 95, Columbus Junction, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at the Colonial Manor Care Center, Columbus Junction. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. There will be no visitation. The body was donated to the University of Iowa. A memorial has been established. Mrs. Plank was born Dec. 10, 1906, in Manchester, the daughter of Wilbert and Lucy Frentress Childs. She married Raymond E. Plank Jan. 14, 1933. She was a Methodist by faith. She attended the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa Wesleyan College and received her teaching degree. She was an Elementary teacher, working in the Cornell, Quasqueton, Cotter and Letts school systems. Survivors include two sons, Charles Plank and wife Connie of Columbus Junction and LeRoy Plank and wife Vicki of Des Moines; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Childs of California.
