Adeline Coppens ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - C. Adeline Coppens, 88, of Rock Island, Ill., and formerly of Moline died Thursday Oct. 24, 2002, at River Park Healthcare Center, Rock Island. Memorial mass is 10 a.m. Nov. 2, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she was a member. She was born on Feb. 14, 1914, in Muscatine, the daughter of Perry and Clara Sharrer Huff. She married Camiel Coppens on April 8, 1961, in Moline. He died March 22, 1968. She graduated from Viterbo College, Wisc. She was a member of the Religious Order of the Franciscan Perpetual Adoration Society of LaCrosse, Wisc., teaching at various schools staffed by her religious order. Later employment included branch office of Montgomery Wards and the Muscatine County Courthouse. Survivors include stepsons, Raymond Coppens, Moline, and Donald Coppens, Hampton; sisters, Virginia Woodworth, Davenport, Irene Murphy, Iowa City, Veronica Braet, Moline, Mary Ann Hines, Muscatine; sister-in-law, Frances Huff, Laurel, Mont.; and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
