Mary Duwa KALONA, Iowa #45;- Mary Ann Duwa, 79, Kalona, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, after a brief illness. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Richmond. The Rev. Rich Adam will officiate. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, rural Richmond. Visitation is 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., with a 3 p.m. Rosary and 7 p.m. prayer service, today at the Peterseim Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the National Catholic Society of Foresters. Mrs. Duwa was born on March 21, 1923, in Richmond, the daughter of Joseph H. and Elizabeth 'Bess' Shalla TeBockhorst. She married Dale Duwa on Feb. 1, 1945, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Richmond. She graduated from Kalona High School in 1941. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, National Catholic Society of Foresters, DCCW, GYP Club and Altar and Rosary Society.
