David Hathaway Sr. GRANDVIEW, Iowa #45;- David L. Hathaway Sr., 72, Grandview, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at his home. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Darryl Erickson will officiate. Pallbearers are Rick Leopard, Kenneth Hathaway, John Hathaway, Jermaine Hathaway, Tim Hathaway and Chuck Hathaway. Honorary pallbearers are Warren Clark Sr. and Mernon Peck Sr. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Mr. Hathaway was born on Aug. 27, 1930, in Muscatine, the son of Thomas Charles and Edna Marie Shock Hathaway. He married Lois Missel on Jan. 19, 1951, in Muscatine. He retired from the H.J. Heinz Company as a forklift operator after 38 years of employment. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was an active member of Grandview Community Bible Church.
