Lillian Luedtke MUSCATINE, Iowa - Lillian M. Luedtke, 88, Muscatine, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Unity Hospital. Services are 10 a.m., Monday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerry Kahler of Fellowship United Methodist Church will officiate. Pallbearers are David Luedtke, Brian Luedtke, Kevin Luedtke, Jay Luedtke, Dan Rayner, Mike Brink and Aaron Luedtke. Honorary pallbearers are Diane Luedtke Connelly, Margaret Brink Massey, Donna Rayner, Deb Rayner Wagner, Darcey Rayner Lainson, Dawn Rayner Herber, Wendy Luedtke Mitchell, Lisa Luedtke Hetzler and Kathy Luedtke Larsen. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 3-6 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Spangler Chapel and the American Heart Association. Mrs. Luedtke was born June 14, 1914, in Howard County, the daughter of James and Anna Van Zandt Garvin. She married Vernon Luedtke Feb. 10, 1934 in Rock Island, Ill. She was a member of the Spangler Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. pending time with her family and visiting with them during her extended life at Bickford Cottage as an original resident. She also enjoyed baking and gardening. Survivors include one son, Orville Luedtke and his wife Joy, Des Moines; two daughters, Betty Brink and her husband Robert, Muscatine and Jean Rayner and her husband Donald, Lone Tree; one daughter-in-law, Karen Luedtke, Muscatine; four sisters, Anna Shea and her husband William, Muscatine, Patty Rinnert and her husband Eddie, Muscatine, Shirley Campbell and her husband Don, Nichols and Phyllis Behrens and her husband Gilbert, Tipton; and 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, one son and two granddaughters in infancy.
