Beverly Krueger LONE TREE, Iowa #45;- Beverly Louise Krueger, 66, Lone Tree, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, following a brief illness. Memorial services are 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Iowa City. The Rev. Harlan Gillespie will officiate. Pallbearers are Lester Bell, John Sexton, Rick Ogren, James Olson, Don Werbach and Dick Elliott. Private burial will be at the Lone Tree Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the church after the memorial services. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home, Lone Tree. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mark's United Methodist Church of Iowa City, Lone Tree Fire and Rescue or the T.T.T. Mrs. Krueger was born on April 17, 1936, in Iowa City, the daughter of Lawrence J. and Ruby M. Carlson Kral. She married Ronald D. Krueger on Jan. 29, 1956, in Lone Tree. She was a 1954 graduate of Lone Tree High School. She was the executive director of the Lone Tree Housing Commission. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, T.T.T. Club. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, watching the birds and playing bridge. She was a life-long resident of Lone Tree. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kent D. Krueger and his wife, Lori, of Littleton, Colo. and Kurt D. Krueger of Lone Tree; a grandson, Joshua Krueger; his mother, Ruby Martin of Iowa City; a brother, Larry J. Kral and his wife, Joyce, of Iowa City; a sister, Pamela K. Freund and her husband, Tony, of Coralville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
