Anita Arlene Breuer, 82, of West Burlington died at 9:54 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Great River Medical Center Emergency Room.
Born June 6, 1928 in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of Herman and Marguerite Swartz Maass. On May 17, 1947 she married Harold Paul Breuer in Burlington. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1985.
Mrs. Breuer was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the American Legion Lodge #52. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, being outdoors and was a "champion crocheter".
Survivors include two brothers, Herman Maass and Richard Maass, both of Burlington; one sister, Gloria Smith of Burlington; several nieces and nephews.
Her husband; parents; one brother in infancy, Harry Maass; one brother Kenny Mass, two sisters, Ella Mae Jensen and Beverly Rodgers; two nephews, Gary Jensen and Jeffrey Rodgers Sr.; and one great nephew, Jeffrey Rodgers Jr. preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3rd, in Lunning Chapel.
