Samuel Bierman TIPTON, Iowa #45;- Samuel Oliver Bierman, 61, of 1428 Red Star Road, Tipton, died Saturday, June 14, 2003, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from a sudden heart attack. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton. The Rev. Eugene Benda will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Jeanette Brennan. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. Rosary Service, at the Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Mr. Bierman was born on May 14, 1942, in Elizabeth, Ill., the son of Oliver John and Ruth B. Udelhofen Bierman. He married Janice Mae Scott on Nov. 26, 1966, in Lancaster, Wis. He graduated from high school in 1961 in Potosi, Wis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He owned and operated CarQuest Auto Parts. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Tipton Moose Lodge.
