Betty Jane Terry MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Betty Jane Terry, 79, Muscatine, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Unity Hospital. Services are 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory, Muscatine. Pallbearers are Jimmie Mathias, Shane Mathias, Andrew Holladay, Chad Mathias, Lonnie Brock and Alan Rayburn. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Betty Jane Terry Memorial Fund at the funeral home. Mrs. Terry was born on Nov. 9, 1923, in Muscatine, the daughter of Albert and Jennie Belle Holliday Reynolds. She married Ora Mathias in 1939 in Muscatine. She married Richard Holladay Sr. in 1955. She later married Sidney F. Terry on Dec. 14, 1985. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2002. She retired from H.J. Heinz Company as a scrubber operator. She also worked as a labeler operator. In her earlier years, she was employed by McKee Button Company. She was a very generous and loving mother. Survivors include five sons, James O. Mathias and wife, Mary, of Muscatine, Bob Mathias and his wife, Joyce, of Warrensburgh, Ill., Bill Adcock and his wife, Janice, of Longview Texas, Everett Adcock and Richard R. Holladay Jr., both of Iowa City; one daughter, Judith Mathias Waller of Muscatine; 29 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Cecil Reynolds of Muscatine and Arthur Reynolds of Columbus Junction. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, Lorraine 'Tooty' Krise, and two brothers.
