PHOTO Marian Parker TIPTON, Iowa - Marian Gertrude Parker, 95, Tipton, died Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. Services are 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13 at the Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. The rev. David Lorenzen will officiate. Pallbearers are Jay Albaugh, John Parker, David Felder, Bob Stepanek and Jeff Parker. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsville. Visitation is 3-6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12 at the funeral home. A memorial has been established. Mrs. Parker was born on Sept. 9, 1908 in Tipton, the daughter of Walter E. and Thetta Cook Leib. She married Howard W. Parker on May 4, 1930 in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1927 and received 1 1/2 years of nursing training. She was a homemaker and a nurses aide at the Cedar Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Tipton. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Kings Daughters.
