She was a member of UAW Local 1097 and was the Vice Chairperson of Local Retirees Committee, Benefits Representative, Women's Committee. For 19 years, she was the award winning editor of "Voice of Labor". She was all for workers rights. She was a historian, enjoyed Gregory Peck movies, garage sales, auctions, keeping things, and bird watching. She watched channel TCM.
