Betty Ash MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Betty J. Ash, 67, Muscatine, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City. Services are 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, at Trinity Episcopal Church. The Rev. Bartholomew F. Ryan will officiate. Casket bearers are Dave Reed, Greg Croson, Dan VanAcker, Rad Swearingen, Larry Wilkerson and Jerry VanAcker. Honorary casket bearer is Zennon Torres. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. After the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, 2907 Mulberry Ave. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Mrs. Ash was born July 25, 1936, in Nichols, the daughter of Roy F. and Elsie J. LaRue Wilkerson. She married Donald E. Ash Oct. 14, 1955, in Nichols. She was the secretary for Trinity Episcopal Church for 26 years before retiring. She loved her family and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was a member of Riverbend Assembly Church and the Ladies of the Moose. Survivors include her husband; a son, Rickie L.
