Mark F. Wilhelm HILTON - July 28, 2019. Mark is predeceased by his mother, Donna Wilhelm nephew John. He is survived by his wife, Cassandra Lomax Wilhelm; daughters, Madison Edie; father, Robert (Betty) Wilhelm; sister, Kelli Stryker; niece, Jacqueline; aunts, uncles, several cousins dear friends. Mark's life story will be shared during his visitation, Friday, 4-8 PM, August 2nd, at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.). His funeral service will be celebrated, Saturday, 10 AM at Covenant Life Church, 70 Bailey Rd., W. Henrietta, NY 14586. Mark's burial will be Monday, August 5th, 11:30 AM at St. Michael's Cemetery, 54 W. Lake Rd., Penn Yan, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Covenant Life Church in Mark's memory. ks about his high school football days like they were just yesterday. He is proud that he played many roles on the football team. Mark had many stories about the team doctor who would rest his dislocated fingers then send him back out to play. When Mark would bring his daughters to the high school in the summer to launch rockets he would reminisce about the good ole days. He even has the baseball that he hit so hard that it split open. It is always a joy to hear Mark talk about his sporting stories and see his eyes light up and his big smile. Mark is a hard worker and started working at the age of 16 at Friendly's restaurant. After going to college for a short time Mark pursued a career at Kodak for 28 years. He enjoyed his job in roll coating and was sad to see Kodak buildings come down over the years. Mark worked in other departments at Kodak until he retired to pursue other interests. As hard as Mark worked, he also has many things he liked to do to relax. Mark spent hours at the shop where he hung out with the guys, some of whom became brothers to him. He loved snowmobiling and made lifelong friends going up north where he enjoyed long rides on smooth fast trails in the woods through snow covered trees. Mark also snowmobiled at Yellowstone and enjoyed all that the region offered. Mark's love for NASCAR and racing was lived out by going to races, meeting drivers, and finally driving a NASCAR stock car. He drove at the Disney Motor Speedway where onlookers said as he passed others on the track, "They are doing a lot of ride-a-longs.", to which his wife replied, "No, that's just Mark". The best was when Mark drove at Daytona where he seemed to fly around the track, when at 170 miles an hour he passed slower drivers. Mark grew in his faith and love for our Lord and experienced the gift of his amazing church family who has stood by his side through the toughest times. Mark loved going to Florida regularly and worked to make retiring there with is family a reality. He had many other loves he shared with his family and friends like going to Disney Parks, Sea World, the Kennedy Space Center, working on and driving his RC cars, hoodie sweatshirts on cool fall days, grilling, good barbecue baby back ribs, cars and so much more. While Mark is no longer here with us in person, he lives on in the hearts and minds of those who were blessed to call him friend. His sense of humor, hard work, passion for life, and his dedication will carry us through until we see him again.
