Trever J. Stevens, 35, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died on Friday, August 13, 2010, in Maquoketa, Iowa. Friends and family may gather for "One Last Party"â„¢ in remembrance of Trever on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Bistro at the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Public graveside services and burial will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at the Pence Cemetery, rural Baldwin, Iowa. Trever J. Stevens was born on September 20, 1974 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Frank Stevens and Shelly Bodenhofer. He attended elementary school in Maquoketa and then went to high school in Normal, Illinois. He received his college education at Kirkwood Community College where he studied renewable energy and natural resources. Trever spent his younger years with his girlfriend, Allison Short. A child, Mackenzie Lee Stevens was born from this relationship. He then married Lindsay Summers. They divorced. Trever was currently engaged to Cassie Ronek. Maquoketa in February of 2010, he had worked for Furnace Creek Park and Resort in Death Valley, California. Trever enjoyed reading and learning. He was a history buff who enjoyed learning about geology and the world. He also enjoyed nature, exploring the caves and landscaping with his hands. He believed in spirituality and enjoyed traveling and finding spiritual people. He loved his family and friends and had a concern for the environment. Trever is survived by his daughters, Mackenzie Lee Stevens of Ottumwa, IA, and Nadine Marie Stevens of Maquoketa, IA; his mother, Shelly Hines of Lost Nation, IA; his father, Frank Stevens of Maquoketa, IA; his step-father, John Trobaugh of Ottumwa, IA; his fiancé, Cassie Ronek of Maquoketa, IA; sisters, Shawna (Brian Arnold) Stevens of Baldwin, IA and Reggie Stevens of Maquoketa, IA; a brother, Terryn Trobaugh of Ottumwa, IA; his maternal "Papa", Kermit Bodenhofer of Baldwin, IA; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Les and Alverta Stevens, and his maternal "Granny", Geraldine Bodenhofer.
