Maquoketa in February of 2010, he had worked for Furnace Creek Park and Resort in Death Valley, California. Trever enjoyed reading and learning. He was a history buff who enjoyed learning about geology and the world. He also enjoyed nature, exploring the caves and landscaping with his hands. He believed in spirituality and enjoyed traveling and finding spiritual people. He loved his family and friends and had a concern for the environment. Trever is survived by his daughters, Mackenzie Lee Stevens of Ottumwa, IA, and Nadine Marie Stevens of Maquoketa, IA; his mother, Shelly Hines of Lost Nation, IA; his father, Frank Stevens of Maquoketa, IA; his step-father, John Trobaugh of Ottumwa, IA; his fiancé, Cassie Ronek of Maquoketa, IA; sisters, Shawna (Brian Arnold) Stevens of Baldwin, IA and Reggie Stevens of Maquoketa, IA; a brother, Terryn Trobaugh of Ottumwa, IA; his maternal "Papa", Kermit Bodenhofer of Baldwin, IA; 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
