Helen Corbett CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa #45;- Helen G. Corbett, 92, Cedar Rapids, died Friday, July 23, 2004, at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home, Lone Tree. Casket bearers are Jeff Corbett, Rob Corbett, Brian Corbett, Bernard Vinton, Chad Kruse and Terry Kruse. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Iowa Wesleyan College. Mrs. Corbett was born Feb. 7, 1912, in Nichols, the daughter of William D. and Anna McCabe Kirkpatrick. She married Bernard Joseph Corbett on Nov. 5, 1938, in Lone Tree. He preceded her in death in 1977. She taught English at Nichols High School and later taught at the West Liberty Jr. High School. She was a former member of the Lone Tree Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the Eastern Star and the Tuesday Club. She thoroughly enjoyed playing bridge and doing crossword puzzles. Survivors include three sons, J.
