Beth Grunder DAVENPORT, Iowa #45;- Beth A. Grunder, 40, Davenport, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at the United Methodist Church, Wilton. The Revs. Mary Arnold and Tom Zeleny will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist, Kathy Luethye and vocalist, Henry Bentley. Casket bearers are Mike Grunder, Bill Grunder, Jeff Runge, Dan Runge, Dick Grunder and Brian Grunder. Honorary casket bearers are Joe Dugan, Jeff Dykstra, Blake Holmes, Jay Holmes, John Kirkman, Tim Volquardsen and Rex Kephart. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Visitations are 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beth Grunder Memorial Fund for scholarships at Wilton High School. Miss Grunder was born July 3, 1964, in Muscatine, the daughter of Paul and Linda Grunder. She graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1982. She loved traveling, family antiques and genealogy, quilting, gardening and her cats. She was loved by all of her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Linda Grunder and Darold Solbrig of Davenport; her father and stepmother, Paul and Sandy Grunder of Moscow; her grandmother, Dorthy Carlisle of Davenport; two brothers, Mike Grunder of Moscow and Bill Grunder and Faunus Schweitzer of Moscow; extended brothers and sisters, Cindy Dykstra and husband, Jeff, Tracey Dugan and husband, Joe, Jeff Runge, Dan Runge, Tracy Fitzgerald, Angie Brown, Lisa Khalil, Blake Holmes, Jay Holmes and Beth Lanfier; special nieces, Jenny Dittmer and Natalie Grunder; special cousins, Nancy Prins and family, Lucie Bavers and family, Lynne Kirkman and family, Valerie Volquardsen and Kathy Kephart; and her mentor, Marcia Grunder. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Francis Carlisle, Harold and Charlotte Grunder; an uncle, Jerry Carlisle; and a stepmother, Jan Grunder.
