Hazel Jones IOWA CITY, Iowa #45;- Hazel Jones, 90, formerly of the Senior Village, Riverside, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at Lantern Park Care Center, Iowa City. Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home, Riverside. The Rev. Brian Gantz will officiate. Casket bearers are Ron Black, Dale Yoder, Tom Morrow, Gerald Yoder, Terry Reynolds and Steve Streb. Honorary casket bearer is Gerry Brick. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for the Riverside First Responders. Mrs. Jones was born July 5, 1914, near North Liberty, the daughter of Charles and Marie Kleinschmidt Reynolds. She married Emmet Gingerich April 8, 1934, in Illinois. He preceded her in death Oct. 15, 1962. She married William Jones June 20, 1970, in Fairfield. He preceded her in death April 17, 1983. She was a farm wife, 4-H leader and a Sunday school leader with husband Emmet until his death. She moved to Fairfield and was employed as a nurse aid for 18 years at Jefferson County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a grandson, Randy Black; a son-in-law, Marvin Black; and a sister, Myrtle Yoder.
