VIVIAN BOYER MUSCATINE, Iowa - Vivian Bonita Boyer, 98, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at Lutheran Homes. Rev. Richard Sebeniecher of the New Hope United Methodist Church will officiate. Casket bearers will be Jim Bras, Al Freese, Keith Freese, Sam Bras, Tyler Bras, Shane Bras, Sara Bras and Gary Wellman. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Lorraine Bras. Vivian was born on July 31, 1906, in Burlington, the daughter of William L. and Lillian Margaret Brown Schwarz. Her first marriage was to John Olson on June 2, 1926. He preceded in death on June 29, 1943. Her second marriage was to Gilbert Boyer on December 24, 1949. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1986. She worked at the Iowa Ordinance Plant in Middle Town, until her retirement at the age of 62. When she was in her 80's, she organized a Kitchen Band. Her favorite pastime was making many quilts, which she enjoyed giving away. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and every Friday visited at the Nursing Home, taking them cake and ice cream.
