Robert Curtis Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser St. Visitation: 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, funeral home. MUSCATINE, Iowa - Robert S. Curtis, 74, Muscatine, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, from complications after surgery. Iowa Lodge No. 2 AF amp; AM will officiate the services. Casket bearers are his nephews, Mike Curtis, Scott Curtis, Mark Curtis, Randy Welsch, Kevin Carter and Rick McDaniel. A private burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery after the service. Memorials may be made to the Masonic Temple or Shriners' Children's Hospital. Mr. Curtis was born Aug. 23, 1930, in Muscatine County, the son of Charles and Leona Fowler Curtis. He married Ruth Ann McDaniel June 15, 1957, in Lamars. He owned and operated the John Deere Dealership, Plow and Pedal Inc. from 1973-89. He served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed golfing and loved his numerous friends. He was a member of Iowa Lodge No. 2 AF amp; AM of which he was a past master in 1965, the Davenport Consistory, Kaaba Shrine Temple, Elks Lodge No. 304, Moose Lodge No. 388 and Indian Hills Country Club. Wagner of Muscatine and Lois Hines of Coralville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ray Curtis.
