Arlene Shaffer Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, St. Lukes United Church of Christ, Lock Haven, Pa. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. today, Gedon-Yost Funeral Home, Lock Haven. LOCK HAVEN, Pa. #45;- Arlene R. Shaffer, formerly of Muscatine, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at her home in Pennsylvania. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or St. Lukes United Church of Christ in care of the funeral home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, PA 17745. She was born in Dewart, Lycoming County, the daughter of Hazel Marion Weber and George W. Weber. She married Forrest R. Fisher July 31, 1947. He preceded her in death Nov. 19, 1968. She later married John W. Shaffer Dec. 19, 1981. She moved back from Muscatine to Lock Haven and went to work in Addies and later in the offices of the late Dr. Edward Hoberman, Piper Aircraft and the American Cancer Society. She was an active member of St. Lukes United Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family, was a wonderful wife and loving mother and grandmother. Simander, Alexis Marie Balmaceda, Anthony Michael Balmaceda, Kathleen Elizabeth Simander and Ryan Thomas Smothers; and five stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Forrest Fisher; and three sisters, Betty Weber Brisso, Eleanor Weber Shaffer and Katie Weber Cattoni.
