Carla Denise Scott

Carla Denise Scott, age 58, of Quincy, transitioned on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at 9:50 am in Blessing Hospital. Carla was born January 27, 1963 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Gordon Sayles and Roberta Scott. She graduated from Quincy High School in 1981 and attended John Wood Community College. Carla worked at Good Samaritan Home for over 20 years and at Blessing Hospital for several years before her illness. Carla was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Carla was dedicated to her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and they called her grandma, gram-gram and ga-ga. She was always welcoming and loved all the kids in her neighborhood. Carla will be deeply missed and was beloved by many.
