Virginia Lee Paul Vaught, age 92, of Richardson, Texas, passed from this life on March 1, 2021. A private family burial will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX. A celebration of her life is being planned for Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson, TX. Virginia was born on July 6, 1928 in Edna, Texas to Jesse William and Annie Harrington Paul. She graduated from Patty Welder High School in Victoria, Texas. After attending Abilene Christian College for one year, she went on to graduate from the University of Texas. In 1950 she married William "Bill" Edward Vaught and lived in Dallas, Guam, Sweetwater, and Austin before settling in Richardson. Virginia lived in that area the remainder of her life. Virginia and Bill had five daughters. She spent her time as a wife and mother and as an active member of the Waterview Church of Christ. She was involved in PTA, CPA Wives, Dallas Prayer Ministry, and Lifeline Chaplaincy. nistry to women recovering from alcoholism and helped start a "Feeding the Homeless" ministry for people who lived on the streets of downtown Dallas. Volunteering in the early days of what eventually became City Square and teaching in Bible teacher trainings at Abilene Christian and Harding Universities were welcomed as opportunities to serve others. Virginia loved the Lord and invested much of her time in women, both young and old, discipling them in a closer walk with God through study of His Word. For several years, she also taught fourth and fifth grade girls in a Friday afternoon Bible class known as the Christian Girl Class. She is survived by her daughters: Paula Chance of San Antonio, and husband Gary; Vanette Hutcheson of Rowlett, and husband Steve; Susan Clark of Abilene, and husband Jim; Tami Weaver of Keller, and husband Jim; and Kim Hancock of San Antonio, and husband Paul. She leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and many extended family members and loved ones. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister and brother.
