FUNERAL LIVESTREAM LINK https://vimeo.com/523300827. Vernal, Utah - Ruth Wall Walker, age 99, passed away March 13, 2021 at the Naples Beehive Home near Vernal. She was born February 11, 1922, in Logan, Utah to John Edward and Ada Ray Wall. She married Don Walker September 16, 1949 in the Logan Temple. Ruth served in the Navy as a member of the WAVES in World War II in San Francisco. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's degree in music. Ruth started playing the piano at age five and was still playing a few days before her death. Music was one of her two greatest passions. She played the piano and organ for high school plays, community events, orchestras, church and funerals. One of her joys in life was to accompany musical numbers sang by her husband Don and other family members. Her second passion was dipping homemade chocolates to share with her friends and family each Christmas. She learned this art of chocolate dipping at the age of 13 from her dad while working at the "Bluebird" in Logan, Utah. ny callings throughout her life. Ruth & Don served two full time missions to Fiji and New Zealand. They were both called to serve in the first Temple Presidency of the Vernal, Utah Temple. She culminated her temple service by serving as an ordinance worker and organist. She leaves behind her four children, Julie Bigler (Bill, deceased), Greg Walker (Mary), Michael Walker (Jana), all of Vernal, and Roger Walker (Pam) of West Jordan, 23 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Ray Wall, Ivon Wall, Iva Wilcoxson, and Ada Mae Griffin, brother-in-law Howard Walker and sister-in-law Marva Lent. She is preceded in death by her husband Don, daughter Joan, and brother Ed R Wall. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00am at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home, 410 North 800 West, Vernal, Utah. Family and friends may visit on Friday from 9:00am to 10:45am at the funeral home. Funeral services may be viewed via live stream @ www.AshleyValleyFuneralHome.com . Interment will be at the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post 11.
