John McKillip Jr. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, Hillcrest Baptist Church. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. today, Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, 2907 Mulberry Ave. MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- John W. McKillip Jr., 66, Muscatine, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Ralph Jeambey will officiate the services. Casket bearers are Brian McKillip, Corey McKillip, Jody McKillip, Eric McKillip, Carl Laymon and John Yeater. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery with military rites conducted by the combined units of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1565 and American Legion Post 27. After the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Mr. McKillip was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Muscatine, the son of John P. and Helena E. Friese McKillip Sr. He married Nancy L. Hahn Sept. 3, 1966, in Muscatine. He was a life long resident of the Muscatine area. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1961-63. He worked at Henderson's Garage and later worked at LaFarge Corp. of Buffalo.
