Donald “Don” Edward Eberhart

Donald "Don" Edward Eberhart, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his home in Cumming, GA surrounded by his family. Don was preceded in death by his mother and father, E.L. and Ila Irvin Eberhart; brother, Gary Eberhart, and infant granddaughter, Susannah Eberhart. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna Echols Eberhart; daughter, Denise Kaiser (Richard); son, Derek Eberhart (Jennifer); grandchildren, Nicolas Kaiser (Mercy), Alex Eberhart and fiancée Jennifer Breast, Carlin Kaiser and Jess Kaiser; sisters, Barbara Hemphill, Joan Whiting (Wayne), Janice Crane (Warren); brothers-in-law, Donald Pruitt, Michael Echols (Linda) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Sula Pruitt and brother-in-law, Fred Hemphill. Don grew up in Talmo, GA. A proud alum of the University of Georgia, he worked his way through college earning his BSA in Poultry Science in 1960. He was an active member of UGA's Baptist Student Union where he met his future wife, Donna. Don worked for almost 40 years in the poultry industry in Kentucky, North Carolina, Minnesota and Georgia. "Papa Don" was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was a great encourager and the # 1 fan of his children and grandchildren. Don will be missed by all who knew him.
