Mary was very devoted to her family and friends and was a true Renaissance woman. She will be remembered and missed for her zest for life, optimism, passion, intellect, sense of humor and her fondness for the taste of a good cocktail. Mary's interests were varied and many. She loved art and was an avid collector. We will not forget the many hours she spent drawing up plans for remodeling her house or cabins. Mary loved to travel and was always up to going anywhere with anyone. She was passionate about animals and nature. She loved to read, wrote poetry and a novel. Mary loved to discuss books, art, philosophy, mythology, current events, politics and science with her close friends and family. Mary is preceded in death by her parents: Drs. Edwin and Helen Kepler; her sister: Dr. Marcia Ann Kepler Bilbao (d. January 1, 2021). She is survived by her husband, Bob; her children: Marcia Wolter Blackburn, John and Pam (Grow) Wolter; her grandchildren: Charlie and Sarah (Stock) Blackburn, Greg Wolter, Henry Blackburn, Chris Wolter and fiancée, Jesse Buckwalter, James Wolter and fiancée, Joseph Long; her great-grandchildren: Ben and Norah Blackburn.
