During his younger years, he grew up in Manilla. While in elementary school, his family moved to Manning and he graduated from Manning High School in 1956. farm near Jefferson. Dennis farmed for Ivan and Bill Opperman until 1981. He then worked for AGP at Manning until his retirement in 2003. Dennis was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Knights of Columbus. Throughout the years, he enjoyed golfing, playing cards, tennis and fast-pitch softball. Dennis cherished the time spent attending sporting events for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On Monday, April 26, 2021, Dennis passed away at Thomas Rest Haven Nursing Home in Coon Rapids, after being diagnosed with cancer in 2020. He was 83 years, 3 months and 30 days of age. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; brother Leonard (Marlene) Ramsey; nephew Jon E. Ramsey; Joan's parents Vince and Ruby Kloewer; brothers-in-law Edward Kloewer and Dave Disburg; and sister-in-law Leona Gibbons.
