Dale William Bacon was born on September 11, 1944, in Windom, Minnesota to Lyman Oliver and Cora Mabel (Frederickson) Bacon. He was baptized on December 3, 1944, at the Delafield Evangelical Lutheran Church in Delafield Township, Jackson County, Minnesota. Dale was later confirmed at the American Lutheran Church in Windom. He received his education in the Windom Public Schools; graduating in the Class of 1963. On December 21, 1963, Dale was united in marriage to Doris Skrove at the Bethany Lutheran Church in rural Bergen, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Shelley and Angela. For forty-one years, Dale worked as a salesman/manager for Praxair in Windom and the surrounding area until retiring in April of 2007. Dale was a longtime member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom where he enjoyed working in the kitchen for funerals. He also was a member of the Prudence Lodge No. 97, a member of the Sun Bowl Pool League and a member of the Fish Lake Poker Card Club. Dale is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years, Doris Bacon of Windom; two daughters, Shelley Widmer and her husband, Keith, of Fargo, ND and their children, Andrew, Alex, Allison and Austin; Angela Krueger and her husband, Robert of St. Peter and their children, Desi, Kiara and Vanessa; mother, Cora Brugman of Windom; one brother and three sisters, Allen Bacon of Reynolds, Indiana; Barbara Locke of Warner Robins, GA; Carol Campbell and her husband, Jack, of Colorado Springs, CO; Elaine Nelson and her husband, Jim, of Windom; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Dale is preceded in death by his father, Lyman Bacon.
