The Passing of an Angel and a Matriarch There is no stronger bond shared, than the one between a mother and her child. A mother who displays courage, compassion, perseverance, and strength is an incredible blessing for her children to behold. It leaves an indelible mark upon the character and spirit of who her children become. Such is the character of the mother we held dear and loved, Gloria R. Rice, who passed away suddenly before us on the 18th of May, 2021. Gloria is survived by her children Alex, Phillip, Eric, and Suzette, her grandchildren Phillip, Lisa, Ashley, Alyssa, and Chloe, and her great grandchildren Weston, Bentley and Aston. She will now be laid to rest with her cherished and loving husband Richard and her beautiful daughter Michelle. One of her greatest joys was seeing her son Edward after so many years, who also preceded her to heaven. Gloria was an incredible model of personal strength and tenaciousness that all who knew her observed. She loved her children unabashedly, with all her heart and soul, as she showed her Love for God our Father. ough she may have had little in life to share, what she shared in her love to all was infinite. If ever needed, she was always there with a hug, kiss, laugh, tear, or just a simple "I Love You"....... We thank Father God for such a mother, woman, and child of God that we were blessed to call Mom, and to be able to share, and pass on, the incredible love that she shared with us to our children. While Gloria's children, family, and friends may grieve her loss, we will forever hold the image of love that we each have for her in our hearts. In honor of the woman she was, the family would like to invite all who knew her to both of her remembrance services. The viewing will be from 5:00p-7:00p and a Rosary service will be performed for her at 7:00p on Wednesday, 26th of May, 2021, at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle, Texas. A Memorial Mass will be performed for her at 10:00a on Thursday, 27th of May, 2021 at St. Anthony's Church in Kyle, Texas. After the mass on Thursday, we would like to invite everyone who is able to attend to partake in a 'family and friends' celebration of life get together and fellowship at Vertical Chapel in Kyle, Texas. From all of her children, thank you for your love and support as we move through our days.
