Miriam "Mimi" Salazar Carmona, 21, and her unborn son, Samuel Carmona, of Muscatine, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006. Casket bearers are Andrew Carmona, Joey Salazar, Julian Salazar, Odilon Reyna and Nick Salazar. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. A memorial has been established at the funeral home Miss Carmona was born May 15, 1985, in Muscatine, the daughter of Efrain and Gloria Salazar Carmona. She was employed at Tyson Foods, Columbus Junction. She enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to Mexican music and spending time with her friends and family. Survivors include a daughter, Eliana Carmona; her mother, Gloria Ramirez of Mount Pleasant; her father, Efrain Carmona of Mexico City; her maternal grandmother, Margie Carmona of Muscatine; three brothers, Andrew Carmona, Joey Salazar and Julian Salazar, all of Muscatine; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
