LaVerne 'Sonny' Pratt Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, funeral home. NEW LIBERTY, Iowa -- LaVerne A. "Sonny" Pratt, 73, of New Liberty, died Jan. 22, 2007, at home after an extended illness. The Rev. Chris Wilson will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Inland Cemetery in Bennett. Casketbearers are Dusty Pratt, Jerry Pratt, Scotty Pratt, Jerry Pratt, Jason Tegtmeier and Chris Zogg. A memorial has been established. Mr. Pratt was born March 21, 1933, in Muscatine, the son of Theodore A. Pratt and Victoria A. Burhop. He married Doris L. Ross Feb. 5, 1957, in Muscatine. He attended Muscatine schools and worked for Farmall in Rock Island for 23 years. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Brenda Gothels and her husband, Ron, and Vicky Zogg and her husband, Mike, all of New Liberty; a son, Raymond Pratt and his wife, Deb, of New Liberty; a sister, Ida Cochran and her husband, Earl, of Muscatine; a brother Jerry Pratt and his wife, Rosemary, of Muscatine; nine grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren.
