ory, both in the city. She was a beautiful, fun-loving woman with a smile and laugh that lifted everyone's spirits. She loved parties and gatherings, and dressing up for all occasions... especially Halloween. She never stayed still for long, and was a member of three Seniors Groups, and a communicant of her church, St. Christopher's of Red Hook, all, which brought her much joy and peace. She worked in the Red Hook CSD for 17 years as a custodial worker in the elementary school, before retiring. She loved making crafts and would succeed in making anything that she put her mind to. Living a good part of her life in the city, Mom never learned to drive. Yes, she was that woman that you would see walking all over Red Hook every day... always impeccably dressed... everything matching, from her earrings right down to her shoes. She was a woman of deep faith and love, and was always there for anyone. Mom's greatest love and joy was her family, and all of us were blessed to have her all the years of her life. Everything good that has come from her children was learned through and from her. She was the brightest light, the person we could turn to, the steadfast Mom, whose being meant... that no matter what, she would be there with her love, and somehow everything would work out. Her passing has changed our lives forever, and she has taken part of us to Heaven with her. If we can mirror even a fraction of her and her love of life and family, our children and friends will be as blessed as we have been. Mom, we know that Heaven is rejoicing, and you are with family, especially your Son, Joseph, whom you have missed so very much. You have now become an Angel up there, as you have always been, and continue to be for us. We love you, and we will see you again..... Mom leaves for now, her loving family, daughter Susan (Gerace) Navins, along with her two granddaughters, Laura and Jolene Navins, all of Kingston, NY; her daughter, Lisa (Gerace) Menz and Son-in-law, "Son" Paul Menz, Jr. along with her grandsons, Paul Menz and Michael Menz, and of course, Julie Gardinier, Paul's longtime girlfriend, was also was a granddaughter to Mom, all of Red Hook, Ny; her granddaughter, Melanie (Gerace) Delage and her husband, Ken Delage, along with her great-grandsons, Brian and Kyle Delage, all of Milan, Ny ; and her Son Joseph's son, her grandson, Joseph H. Gerace. Two dear friends of Mom's... the three stuck together through this pandemic, were Marion Wood and Irene Yoli... playing cards... having lunch together...going on outings...I believe each of them were a blessing to each other. Mom also leaves behind many other dear friends, neighborhood friends, and friendly acquaintances.
