day school, was president of the Sisterhood, baked for special occasions, and helped create the many skits the Sisterhood enjoyed presenting. Seema especially enjoyed writing the parodies for the musicals. She often could be found at her piano, creating new lyrics. Family was important to Seema and Sol. Returning to Houston for the holidays, Seema cooked and baked everything for every celebration. She made sure that everyone was included and felt special. Relatives and friends came from far and near to celebrate with them. Seema and Sol spent many years in the New York area. Seema loved when her grandchildren came to visit. She took them to the theater, and afterwards they always went out for a special treat. She shared her elegant sense of style with her grandchildren, exploring the boutiques and stores of NYC, China, and Hong Kong. Seema also enjoyed decorating, and her sense of beauty was evident in their home. She loved shopping for furniture and other decorative items in China, making purchases for friends as well. The family is especially grateful to Irma Torres, Seema's loving companion and caretaker. Irma lovingly cared for Sol and Seema for many years. Funeral service will be held at Emanu El Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 3:00 PM. Shiva will be observed at the home of Amy and Gary Davis.
