aquoketa and was very active in the church. She also was a volunteer for the DV/SA Resource Center in Maquoketa. In earlier years, she taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir. She was very involved in Cub Scouts and Campfire Girls. She enjoyed all kinds of music, especially Jazz. She always enjoyed writing poems and essays. Photography was also a lifelong interest, especially sunsets. She always loved the beach living in Florida. Carol was welcomed into Ken's large family and loved them as her own. Carol is survived by her daughter Lori (Harold "Gutsch") Gutscher of Jacksonville, FL; former daughter-in-law, Karen Skipper (Bill) Peidlow of Silver Springs, FL; a granddaughter, Kimberly (Anthony) Johnson of Ocala, FL; great-grandchildren, Johnny and Kiera Underwood of Ocala, FL; Ken's children, Linda (Jim) Bailey Clinton, IA, and Michael (Tracy) Davis of Carson City, NV; daughter-in-law Jill Davis of Maquoketa, IA; Ken's grandchildren Scott Bailey and Nicholle Hardy; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Nate, and Kooper Bailey, Joseph and Bella Hardy; sister-in-law Joyce Timmins of North Port, FL; and many special nieces and nephews she loved as her own. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ken, her parents, her son James Daniel Skipper, Ken's son Gary Davis, 2 brothers-in-law, and 2 sisters-in-law.
